I had my little helper with me the other night as we prepared our dinner. The boys have always been up for helping me in the kitchen. I hope this means I am raising them to be good, helpful husbands and cook for their future wives.
A mom can dream, can't she.
Do you know how much stuff you can make with Bisquick? It amazes me. To top it off, today I found out that they also make Gluten-free Bisquick! What will they think of next?
One of my favorite websites to refer to is Bisquick.com because the possibilities are endless. Not only that, I am all about cheap and easy dinners to make.
This is definitely one of them.
We decided to make homemade pizza the other night. I thought it would be a fun activity to do together, and I was hankering for some with jalapeños on it.
It was too good, he had to inhale it! |
Easiest Pizza Dough Ever:
1 1/2 C. Bisquick
1/3 C. Hot Water
Mix and Violà! Pizza Dough. Add toppings. Bake. Done and Done. Yum.
I also made a few garlic parmesan cheesy ball thingys to go along with the pizza. It was the left over dough that was too small to mke a whole pizza. I brushed them in olive oil and garlic, baked them for about 10 minutes. When i pulled them out of the oven, i coated them again then poured parmesan cheese on top. Delicious little bites to munch on while I waited for my pizza to be done. I think next time, I will make a separate batch of dough for these alone.
The balls. See, I only made a few. |
fresh garlic minced then mixed with EVOO. microwave for about a minute. Brush on top. |
When in doubt always, always have this on hand just in case things dont work out:
Thats what I did because I love me a thin crust pizza with jalapenos on it. This one takes a bit longer than the Easiest Pizza Dough Ever, but I had the time since I had my cheesy garlic parmesan ball thingys.
